Beth Moore Summer Bible Study III -Completed 2010

By May 19, 2010Misc, Ruth

ruthOnce again we are participating in the Beth Moore Siesta Summer Bible Study, which begins on June 22, 2010. This summer we are reading Ruth: Loss, Love & Legacy a 6-week women’s Bible study by Kelly Minter.

Beth recommends that you participate in a small group home study….so if that is not possible for you because of your family schedule, work commitment or location…then join us here in online study. We’ll be reading along with Beth Moore, visiting her blog for updates and video segments, and posting our comments as we discuss the book with one another.

You’ll see a blog post once a week, on Tuesday, to coordinate with the schedule Beth Moore has posted on her blog.

Before we begin, you’ll need to:

  1. Subscribe to this blog by email, so you’ll receive updates for the study.
  2. Order your workbook: Ruth: Loss, Love & Legacy by Kelly Minter.  Last summer, the workbooks sold out due to the popularity of a Beth Moore study, so order early.
  3. Post an introduction below, telling us where you are located (city/state) and your blog or Twitter link.
  4. Just for fun, please tell us about your favorite summer meal.

UPDATE: This bible study was completed in 2010. Please see our list of current bible studies.

  • Nancy says:

Hello! I’m a stay at home mom with two precious and very busy boys. My husband works very long hours and we trying to pay off some big bills prepare for his bible school training. We just moved and have not found a church home, yet. Just praying and visiting and trusting the Lord! I’m really excited to join this study, this is an answer to prayer. My favorite summer meal is good barbeque and potato salad with, of course, sweet iced tea loaded with lemons (it’s no secret now, I am a Southern gal). Blessings! Nancy

  • Vanda says:

    Hi,

I’m Vanda from Coronado, CA. I have 2 children, 5 yr old daughter and a 22-mth old son. I’m currently on leave from my job and going back in November. We’re looking forward to this weekend’s celebrations.

I realised that my personal bible study time was out of whack after our Community Bible Study completed in May. I decided to find a Bible Study workbook and found this website and Beth Moore’s summer siesta bible study today. I’ve just ordered the book and I’m going to print out the 1st week’s pdf reading from the summer siesta website tonight. I hope I’m not too late and I sure hope I can be disciplined enough! 🙂

  • Lauren says:

Hey, I’m Lauren from Kentucky… I am doing this solo so thought this weekly discussion board would help me as I go through… I enjoy reading what everyone else has to say. That’s one thing I love about the Bible… no matter how many people read it, there are different parts that speak to them individually because of the season of life each person is in. I like to think that God knows what we need when we need it. I am married, have a 7 year old, and teach nursing, so I fortunately have the summer off, and am hoping to draw closer to God this summer as I have more time to dive into His word. My word was blessed, because I really feel like I am, but I know that in order to continue to be blessed, I have to stay centered on Him. Thanks for the opportunity to share my thoughts and feelings… God bless!
