My Little Book of Prayers
by Kathy Allert

Originally published as a Little Golden Book, the lovely collection of children’s poems and meditations, My Little Book of Prayers, is now available on the Kindle.  Each page of the book includes a child’s prayer in easy-to-read verse and absolutely beautiful illustrations of children at work, play and sleep.  Some of the selections will be familiar (Now I Lay mylittlebookofprayersMe Down to Sleep). but others will be new.  They all focus on thanking God and being aware of His presence and activity throughout our day.

Not long ago, my six-year-old daughter read through one of her children’s Bibles and discovered a version of the Lord’s Prayer.  She was so excited that she copied it out and began praying it every night during our family devotion time before bed.   Sometimes our kids long for simple prayers to serve as teaching tools, to show them how to pray and ultimately how to interact and converse with God.  A lovely prayer book for children, such as this one, would make a great gift and help families pray together.

I received this book for free. I was not required to write a positive review and the opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255 : “Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising.
