Fight Back with Joy Online Bible Study | Week 1

fight back with joy bible study week 1

Welcome back to Week One of our online Bible Study, “Fight Back with Joy” by Margaret Feinberg. We jump started our joy journey being reminded of God’s tremendous and fierce love for us and how His love gives us joy.

WOW! I was so excited when I read this because I realized, it’s half of the battle. We already have Gods love, it is available to us freely to overflowing. Now all we have to do is tap into the joy that comes from His love for us.

Love and joy go together like peanut butter and jelly. When we experience and accept God’s unconditional, unending love for us, we will experience the joy that comes from it. It will radiate like sunshine everywhere we go.  We read many scriptures that proved God’s love for us.

This week was eye-opening to me because I began to see examples of joy everywhere I went.  I thought I was already, “Full of His Joy.” When I took a look at my joy meter, I realized that there was room for improvement!  I realized that I wanted, and needed more joy. I wanted deeper joy that would be consistent and withstand all the things that try to deplete my joy. I wanted to experience the joy my momma use to talk about, “the joy that the world didn’t give, and the world can’t take away!” Don’t you long for that type of joy? That no matter what the day brings, you can rejoice and be joyful in the Lord.

I am determined to purposefully seek out joy everyday.  As a friend of mine said, “I want God’s joy to be the first thing people see when I am around!” This is within our grasp, and we are on our way to reaching it!

Join me this week and find ways to litter the world with joy! Let’s use God’s joy to fight all the things that try to steal our joy each day!

This Bible study uses many Bible translations. Use a Bible app or online Bible such as YouVersion or BibleGateway and type in the verse Then you can change to a different translation as needed!
