Do you believe that God loves you unconditionally? Do you believe that his love will never fail you? This week Moore takes us through a scriptural study of understanding God’s promises regarding his unfailing love. The memory verse of the week, Isaiah 54:10 reads. “ Though the mountains are shaken and the hills are removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,’ says the Lord, who has compassion on you. In this verse, God assures us of his unfailing love for us, his covenant of peace with us, and his uncompromised compassion for us.
Moore starts out the week’ studies by challenging participants to have a clear understanding of God the Creator, God the Conqueror, and God the compassionate One. In addition, she stressed that his unfailing love also gives us freedom and it is extended to even the most rebellious and wicked of people. No one is too entrenched in sin not to receive God’s grace.
Moore stressed that we shouldn’t forget that God has never given up on us. In fact, she says that God’s love is demonstrative and we should ask him to widen our spiritual vision to make us more aware of his love. God wants to satisfy the longings of our heart with his love.
However, many of us are suffering because of our unbelief in God’s love. Moore closed the week’ studies with reminders to look for evidence of God’s love in scripture. Because unbelief regarding the love of God is a betrayal of his faithfulness.
As we draw near to the end of our study. It’s time to take a moment to reflect and ask ourselves some challenging questions:
*Why do we think we readily accept God’s love for others but struggle with the belief that he loves us unconditionally also?
*How can the differences between God’s love and human love change my mind about the depth of God’s love for me?
*Why could not believing God loves us personally and lavishly be considered a sin?
Remember, we can never truly break free and make life in Christ a reality if we don’t believe in God’s unfailing love.
Have a Blessed Week!
