For me there is a peace in this verse that touches me deeply. As we want to do God’s will it’s comforting to know the Holy Spirit is there. Praise God!

There is no one like you, O LORD, and there is no God but you, as we have heard with our own ears.1 Chronicles 17:20 NIV

How much of our time have we wasted with “others” people or things who are not like God? Do we spend time with “You” the Father or “them” the idols and things that fill our busy lives.

The music is haunting, the vocals reach down into the heart. “Who lived to die for me?” So easy to say john 3:16 without a blink … but the shame of our own sin reminds us of why he gave his life on the cross. “Though I fail, your faithful love remains” … reason to rejoice, worship, weep.
