Welcome to the Fitting Room Bible study! You will be reading two chapters from the Kelly Minter book The Fitting Room: Putting On The Character of Christ for the next seven weeks. These are easy to read chapters and the storytelling is memorable- perfect for a Summer Bible study!

The Apostle Paul writes, “Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience” (Colossians 3:12 NIV).  Notice the five virtues in this single verse?

Compassion

Kindness

Humility

Gentleness

Patience

How do we “clothe” ourselves in these virtues when the world looks at our physical appearance and behaviors? Are we walking as a reflection of the virtues, or their enemies? Let’s dig into this during our discussion groups each week.

There are two methods for discussion at the Bible Cafe™. For the last 10+ years we’ve been meeting in a Facebook group with women around the world. All you need to do is join the group, look for the leader photo and answer the questions under the photo. Here’s my Monday group photo just to help you see how it works!

Each discussion group has its own photo. Jump online and enjoy the discussion as you type (or voice to text) your answers below the photo. The groups last about one hour each week. Of course, if you miss your group there’s no need to worry! All you do it jump online later to see what you missed AND join another group that is meeting during the week. Our Facebook groups never close and they meet in one location.

Now, you’ve probably heard about our recent addition to the Bible Cafe™ with video conferencing! This is something NEW and exciting for our community and leaders. We meet once a week using ZOOM teleconferencing so members can join by phone or video. It’s an added feature and FUN to use. All you do is click the “Live Events” tab after you login to the membership site. Then select the best day and time for your schedule.

In the teleconferencing calls we’ve laughed together, cried together, and prayed for one another. These are deep connections and treasured experiences. I’ve made lifetime friends using this method of Bible study! If you’re interested, join as a PARTNER member.

Our ministry is fueled by coffee, tea and the love of our volunteers. We’re family- and you are too!
